Rules & Terms
1. Eligible Works
We accept submissions that:
1a. Explore the impacts of the AI revolution (positive, negative, direct,
indirect, intentional, or unintentional).
1b. Are created using significant AI tools in their production.
2. Accepted Formats
a. Feature films and Shorts (fiction, documentary or animation).
b. Duanju (including pilots).
c. Music videos.
d. Commercials.
e. Trailers.
3. Submission Terms
By submitting your work, you agree to the following:
a. The festival can use your work’s poster, trailer, synopsis, and images
for promotion (social media, website, press, etc.).
b. Entry fees are non-refundable.
c. Multiple submissions and categories are allowed.
d. You may resubmit your work for future festivals.
e. Non-English works must include English subtitles.
f. Scripts must be in English or include an accurate English translation.
g. You accept all festival rules and terms.
h. The festival judges have final say on selections, awards, and screenings.
No feedback will be provided for unselected works.
i. The festival may re-categorize submissions.
j. No screening fees will be paid.
4. Ineligible Works
We do not accept:
a. Extremist, propaganda, or politically driven content.
b. Works with poor production quality (e.g., bad sound and
missing subtitles.)
5. Selection & Awards
Selected works, awards, and honorable mentions will be announced on
FilmFreeway. Delays may occur.
Winners receive:
a. An Award Certificate.
b. The option to purchase a trophy.
c. Additional prizes from co-sponsors (if applicable).
6. Additional Requirements
a. Personal categories require the name of the person and category (submit
via FilmFreeway cover letter).
b. Photos must include file names with talent, submitter, date, and work
details.
7. Disqualification
The festival may disqualify works deemed inappropriate.
8. Intellectual Property
a. You must own or have permission to use all intellectual property in your
submission.
b. The festival may request proof of rights and can reject submissions
without it.
9. Indemnification
a. You agree to protect the festival from any copyright or intellectual
property claims related to your submission.
b. Ensure all music, images, and clips are properly licensed or fall under
“Fair Use.”
10. Festival Rights
a. The festival can use excerpts from submitted works for promotional purposes.
b. Submitters confirm they have the authority to screen the work and agree to all terms.
11. Data Consent
a. By submitting, you consent to the festival using your personal data for
operational purposes.
b. You can revoke consent but will be disqualified from the festival.
12. Changes to Rules
The festival reserves the right to update rules, terms, and guidelines
without notice.
